Ralph Curtis
Banbury Cross Therapeutic Equestrian Center

Ralph Curtis showed us a short video and explained the nature of the equestrian program. As with any successful program, there are more applicants than can be handled by the current staff and volunteers. If you have a love for horses and would like to volunteer your time, more local children can take advantage of this great program. Thanks go to Laura Barnard for inviting Ralph to speak to us.

July is Literacy Month

"I believe the club should commit itself this and every year to ensuring that every 3rd grader in Lapeer has his or her own Dictionary which is theirs to keep."...Prez

Literacy - "The basic reading, writing, math, communication, and computer skills necessary to be successful in the home, at work, and in the community." Check out www.dictionaryproject.org.

Werner Von Braun was the chief scientist for the space program for Apollo. He was once asked "What was the hardest part of getting to the Moon?" His response:

"The will to do it... the rest was just calculations"
