| Our Student Exchange Program |
|
Youth Exchange - Our club has a strong history with the Youth Exchange program. Mike Higgins has been the YEO (Youth Exchange Officer) for 18 years. For the past 3 years, Ken Tysick has assisted Mike with this program. Our club has hosted students from many countries including, but not limited to Finland, Mexico, Japan, Brazil, Lithuania, and Belgium.

The Youth Exchange program consists of both and inbound and an outbound exchange. Our club has had an inbound exchange student each year that we participated. We have had several outbound exchange students as well, but not each year of participation.
Our current inbound exchange student is Niila Arujuuri from Finland. He is a senior at Lapeer East and a highly recognized athlete on the varsity soccer team. Our most recent outbound exchange student was Rachel Strandberg. She went to Ecuador last year. She is a graduate of Lapeer West High School.
